Downtown Presidio & Sign Art Detour
Trade campus for downtown's older bones — a reconstructed Spanish fort, a historic adobe home, and a museum devoted entirely to vintage neon signage.
Head to the Presidio San Agustin for a compact, walkable reconstruction of Tucson's original fort walls and courtyards, then step next door into La Casa Cordova, one of the oldest structures in the city. Cap it off at the Ignite Sign Art Museum, an unexpectedly delightful collection of restored neon signs that most out-of-towners never hear about. Outdoor walking is brief between stops — plan it for the cooler mid-morning before the heat peaks, and duck inside quickly.
